Jeffrey D. Clark

Jeffrey D. Clark has over 33 years’ experience in the transportation industry.  Throughout Mr. Clark’s lengthy carrier, he has been involved with the hiring, training, evaluation, and management of commercial motor vehicle drivers.  Mr. Clark is frequently called upon by corporate entities, including Fortune 500 companies, to design and implement training programs for commercial motor vehicle drivers, safety directors, and operations staff.  Mr. Clark consults with many companies to improve their safety management practices and regulatory compliance, and to assist them reduce accidents and CSA scores.  He is frequently asked to serve as an expert witness in truck accident litigation.        

 

In addition to serving as CTSE’s Director of Training, Mr. Clark is the managing partner at Eagle Training Services, an CDL training school for entry level drivers, where he is responsible for all aspects of the operation, including curriculum development and ensuring compliance with state licensing requirements.  In addition to its two stand-alone facilities, Eagle Training Services partners with several community and technical colleges to provide entry-level CDL driver training. 

 

Mr. Clark is also Transportation Program Leader, Continuing Education Division at Harper College.  In this capacity, Mr. Clark recruited several industry trade groups and organizations to assist Harper College develop a Transportation Safety Certificate Program.  This program is designed to service the needs of manufacturing companies, shippers, insurance carriers and transportation providers to educate their workforce in safety, regulatory compliance and managing risk. 

 

Mr. Clark is a member of the Diesel Advisory Board at Gateway Technical College in Kenosha, WI, where he assists in developing curriculum and approving classes for the Diesel Technology Associate Degree Program. 

 

Mr. Clark is a member of the National Association of Publicly Funded Truck Driving Schools, the Illinois Trucking Association, the Wisconsin Trucking Association, the Warehouse Education and Research Council, the Traffic Club of Chicago, the Intermodal Association of Chicago, the National Safety Council, the Employer Partnership of the Armed Forces, and the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance.

 

Mr. Clark attended Lansing (MI) Community College, Michigan State University, and Eastern Illinois University.  He is licensed as a CDL instructor by the State of Illinois, and also holds a valid CDL license.
